Tsesite (goethite/limonite) is iron ore covered with a dark coating by desert lacquer weathering. The name is derived from the place where it was found (locality name), comparable, for example, to the term "Thulite" for manganese-containing zoisite from the area around Thule, Norway.
On a small scale, desert ores were historically used for iron production and as amulets and power objects.
According to crystal healing, goethite has a stimulating and activating effect, conveys strength and helps to actively implement one's own wishes and ideas.
In astrology, Goethite is assigned to Virgo.
Claims that have previously been partially circulated that Tsesit is a trademarked name for the iron ore concretions of Tses have not yet been proven for the EU territory. We expressly warn against profiteers who usurp these alleged intellectual property rights! Tsesit can also be found wholesale under the name Bakari, Bakaristein or Bakaristone.
Origin: area around Tses, Namibia
