Tsesit (Goethite/Limonite) raw specimen from Namibia - very large collector's item!

Tsesit (goethite/limonite) is iron ore that is covered with a dark coating due to desert varnish weathering. The name is derived from the place where it was found (locality name), comparable, for example, to the term "thulite" for manganese-containing zoisite from the area around Thule, Norway.

On a small scale, desert ores have historically been used for iron extraction and as amulets and power objects.
According to crystal healing, goethite has a stimulating and activating effect, conveys strength and helps to actively implement one's own wishes and ideas.

In astrology, Goethite is associated with Virgo.

Claims that have been circulated to date that Tsesit is a trademarked name for the iron ore concretions of Tses have not yet been proven for the EU. We expressly warn against profiteers who claim these alleged protective rights! Tsesit can also be found in wholesale trade under the name Bakari, Bakaristein or Bakaristone.
