Gemstone necklace ~ Fluorite Opal (also called Tiffany Opal) ~ incl. 2mm antique brown leather cord for knotting.

Tiffany stone consists primarily of opalescent fluorite and was discovered in the early 1970s. Its base color is purple with yellow-brown and black beryllium veins; the beige-brown components are jasper.

The now-closed Brush-Wellmann mine is located in western Utah, USA, and was used to extract beryl minerals for industrial purposes. A second deposit of fluorite opal, the Spore Mountain Lavender Mines, is now known to exist nearby.

Common synonyms are "Purple Passion" and "Purple Opal".

In modern crystal healing, the Tiffany Stone is used to promote playful freedom, lightness and gentleness; it strengthens intuition and presence in the here and now, makes one inventive and reduces prejudice.

When you first start exploring the world of crystals and gemstones, it can be a little overwhelming at first. What makes these small and large energy stones so special? Which one is right for me, and what effects is it known for? And what do I actually do with it? Don't worry, we felt the same way at the beginning. The first thing you need to know is: you can't really go wrong. Gemstones can be easily integrated into your everyday life.

Gemstones are considered powerful companions, especially in a time when we spend most of our day staring at small screens. We quickly forget the world around us and feel disconnected – from nature, our fellow human beings, and ultimately, ourselves.
Although it's easy to forget amidst their dazzling colors and extraordinary cuts, gemstones originate from nature. They are formed from magma deep within the Earth or through high pressure exerted on a rock, and can transfer this energy to us. It often takes many thousands of years for a stone to reach the Earth's surface.
The stone you ultimately hold in your hands is therefore many years older and carries within it a great deal of wisdom and strength. Let this thought ground you, arrive in the present moment, and look not only to the future but also to what has already been. Only in this way can we learn.
Whether you simply wear your new companion and let it have its effect on you ~ or use it for rituals & ceremonies, is now in your hands.
