Sugilite is one of the most valuable gemstones, yet it has not been known for long. It was named after the mineralogist Dr. K. Sugi, who discovered it in 1944.

The gemstone Sugilite is special among healing stones. Its interesting coloration, radiance, and the positive life energy that Sugilite emits make this stone a small individual treasure for every user. Added to this is the sometimes high price, which makes Sugilite an altogether exceptional specimen in the world of gemstones.
Sugilite is often called the "New Age Stone" because it is said to warn against the end of the world. It was supposedly found in Africa where the cradle of humanity is believed to be.
