The Dorje is scepter-like and one of the most important cult objects in Buddhism. It is used to cleanse space and aura, can release energetic blockages and is also often used in meditation.
The Dorje is a symbol of the unshakable male principle, which represents the path to enlightenment. Its two by four clasps represent the eightfold Buddhist path. In India it is called Vajra (Indian, pronounced: “Wajra”).
Dorje means "indestructible diamond", "thunderbolt" or "lord of stones". Dorjes are usually made of brass or bronze. Dorjes made of rock crystal or other gemstones have a special power.
