The effect of the stone is said to be felt throughout the body's entire circulatory system. It is alleged to help the pancreas, the spleen, and with digestive complaints. Indian traditions state that rhodochrosite is a protective stone. It unfolds its effect through the heart chakra and extends to the root and sacral chakras. Furthermore, it sensitizes one to interpersonal matters and dissolves inner blockages. It is a stone of harmony with all other gemstones used for healing purposes. It is particularly associated with the sign of Taurus, though it also imparts a bit of its radiance to other zodiac signs. For Cancer, it opens their eyes to reality; it also boosts their self-confidence. Rhodochrosite is suitable for meditation.

Rhodochrosite brings one closer to self-knowledge and helps in reshaping one's life. It allows for new perspectives to be recognized and helps dissolve fears, depressions, or insecurities. With rhodochrosite, more zest for life is achieved, which makes one feel more cheerful, brightens the mood, and ultimately provides more harmony and balance. Through the transformation of mental burdens and a clearer mind, it bestows creativity, activity, and enough room for one's own needs. This healing stone provides openness to new things, thereby encouraging love for the environment and also increasing emotions as well as sexuality. In this way, rhodochrosite also offers more protection against defamation.
