Its name comes from the Greek word “phlogopos” (in German: fiery-looking), based on its reddish shimmering crystals.
Phlogopite forms in metamorphic rocks such as limestone, marble, peridot or serpentinite, which have a high proportion of magnesium. Phlogopite belongs to the mineral class of silicates.

Phlogopite improves the elasticity of ligaments and joints and connective tissue. It helps against nausea, especially motion sickness. Phlogopite works against tension. Phlogopite is worn directly on the body or placed under the pillow.
