Orthoceras Cephalopod Fossil as a necklace ~ incl. 2mm leather cord for tying.
Early representatives of nautiloids living in the sea with a cylindrical shell divided into segments. Locomotion in a horizontal position with a "jet propulsion principle" by inflow and expulsion of water.
Age: approx. 280 – 320 million years Find location: Atlas Mountains, North Africa, Morocco Occurrence: Ordovician to Triassic Superorder: Orthocerida Distribution: Europe, North Africa Class: Cephalopoda.
Size should be easy to read from the hand ;-)
