As its name suggests, Andean Opal comes from the Andes in Peru, has a hardness of 6 to 7 and belongs to the family of opaline quartz. It occurs in pink, blue-green, brown and white colors, with different properties attributed to the differently colored stones.

Already among the Incas and Aztecs, the stone had a special meaning: an eye of the gods, left behind by them when they left the earth. From the perspective of these ancient tribes, it was a stone of hope that reminded them in times of war that humans, animals and nature belong together in harmony. Even today, this stone is considered a protective and healing stone in Peru and is traditionally worn as jewelry.

Above all, pink Andean Opal is said to banish depressive moods and fears. In addition, it promotes true love, but it also increases the desire for eroticism and sexuality. It gives spontaneity and zest for life and thus helps one to get through everyday life in a good mood and thus better. The physical effect manifests itself in an improved function of enzymes, but also helps in the prevention of worm infestation, mites and viral infections. In general, it is known as a healing stone for the digestive system. Among other things, it alleviates inflammation and complaints in the stomach area, promotes metabolism and strengthens the liver, especially if it is damaged by toxins and alcohol.

The green-blue or greenish stone, on the other hand, has calming properties, dissolves mental blockages, strengthens memory and helps to keep or regain calm, especially during exams. It also has a positive effect on the body. It is often used for lung complaints, as it alleviates allergic reactions of the lungs and bronchi. In general, it can be said that the body's readiness to react allergically to something is inhibited. It works particularly well against allergens such as animal hair, environmental toxins and dust.

The brown-white Andean Opal combines the properties of the pink and green-blue stones and also enhances their positive properties when used together.

The white stone, on the other hand, is hardly said to have any special positive properties for humans, but it can be used to suck out the negative energies that have accumulated in the other Andean Opals and thus purify them without having to discharge them.
