Exceptional large ore mineral specimen with sphalerite and galena as a dark mineral base, featuring an extremely rich covering of gold-colored pyrite.

Particularly fascinating are the numerous clearly visible pyrite crystals distributed over large areas of the specimen. Many of these display well-defined cube-like crystal forms with a vibrant brass-to-gold metallic luster and fine natural growth striations.

Individual pyrite cubes stand out clearly from the dark substrate, forming beautiful small crystal groups. In addition, entire areas are covered with countless smaller pyrite crystals, causing the specimen to sparkle intensely depending on the incidence of light.

According to the original collection label, the base consists of sphalerite and galena. Their dark, metallic surfaces create a particularly strong contrast to the bright gold-colored pyrite.

The piece has a very three-dimensional, natural structure with numerous recesses, crystal pockets, and crystal generations of varying sizes. From different angles, new pyrite cubes and metallic-shining surfaces repeatedly emerge.
