When you first start exploring the topic of crystals and gemstones, it can be a bit overwhelming at first. What makes these small and large energy stones so special? Which one is right for me, and what are its known effects? And what do I do with them? Don't worry, we felt the same way when we started. The first thing you need to know: You can't really go wrong. Gemstones can be easily integrated into your everyday life.
Gemstones are considered powerful companions, especially in a time when we spend most of our days staring at small screens. We quickly forget the world around us and feel disconnected—from nature, our fellow human beings, and ultimately ourselves.
Even if it's easy to forget it given their dazzling colors and unusual cuts, gemstones originate from nature. They form from magma in the Earth's interior or from high pressure on a rock, and can transfer this energy to us. It often takes many millennia for a stone to penetrate the Earth's surface.
The stone you are ultimately holding in your hands is many years older and carries a great deal of wisdom and power within it. Let this thought ground you, arrive in the moment, and look not only to the future, but also to what has already happened. Only in this way can we learn.
Whether you simply wear your new companion and let it work its magic on you or use it for rituals and ceremonies is now in your hands.
Labradorite
Labradorite owes its name to the Canadian Labrador Peninsula, where it was first discovered in 1770. Because of its iridescent colors, the stone is not only used as an ornament in magnificent buildings, but also in many works of art and magnificent jewelry. Iridescent like a magnificent peacock feather, labradorite is a very special stone.
Labradorite forms either magmatically in dunite, gabbros, basalt and anorthosite or metamorphically in amphibolite.
A now rare gemstone, labradorite (also called spectrolite) is a colorful lucky charm. It often combines many colors and shimmers in numerous facets. It is a stone that should not be used in combination with others.
Labradorite Zodiac Signs: Aries, Scorpio, Leo, also Aquarius, Sagittarius, Pisces, Capricorn
Labradorite Chakra: Throat chakra, crown chakra, third eye chakra, hand chakra
Labradorite effect and meaning for your life:
In cases of heightened nervousness, underlying tension, or emotional blockages, labradorite has an uplifting effect – restoring mental balance and opening up new perspectives. The stone's dazzling array of colors not only stimulates our imagination and creativity but also intensifies our intuition and inner emotional world. On a physical level, labradorite alleviates bone and joint pain, such as rheumatism, gout, or arthritis. The stone also has a calming effect on the cardiovascular system, which has a positive influence on blood pressure.
Labradorite is most effective on the heart chakra. Astrologically, it is associated with the signs of Aquarius, Cancer, and Scorpio. Spheres made of this semiprecious stone, placed in the living area, are said to balance negative energies. Labradorite water can be sipped for general strengthening.
To ensure you enjoy your jewelry for a long time, you should always remove labradorite rings before doing housework. The stone is not only very sensitive to pressure, but also to temperature fluctuations, alkalis, and other chemicals. For example, a sudden change from cold to hot water can cause the stone to split. Cleaning labradorite in an ultrasonic bath is also not recommended, as this can also damage the stone.
It is recommended to clean the labradorite under running lukewarm water after use. It should then be placed in a bowl of mineral water in the clear morning air to recharge. It can also be discharged in a dry bowl with tumbled hematite stones and then recharged in a cluster of rock crystals.
