Guggul or bdellium resin (synonyms: loban, bedolach resin, bedellium, bdellium, gum guggulu, Indian myrrh, also called false myrrh) is the gum resin of the balsam tree Commiphora mukul (syn.: Commiphora wightii) and was also called gum bdellium. The name guggulu (Indian) literally means "that which protects against disease."

No matter whether you have already completed some ceremonies and rituals or are completely new to the world of incense, with us you will find an easy introduction to the magic of herbs.

We were deeply inspired and a passion was ignited.
Many wonderful little cork jars were hand-packed and lovingly labeled for hours, even days, while each herb/spice/resin, etc., was smoked and enjoyed from one "ohh mhhh..wow.hmmm..." to the next...thanks to these wonderful scents from all over the world! :)
Our senses have been brought to the highest level of enjoyment, and we recommend rituals! ~ Smudge yourself thoroughly over the winter; there are many different herbs with different effects and scents. Drink freshly brewed tea with them, and invite friends to a shared ceremony.

With our herbs, roots, and resins, you can achieve great things in a ritual and guide your life to a sensual, spiritual path...
Connect with nature...your spiritual inner self...breathe in and let the scents work their magic on you...

Burning incense with herbs, resins, or spices is an ancient custom that has long been widespread in many cultures. Celts burned incense on their home altars; in the Orient, a particularly distinctive fragrance and incense culture developed in honor of the gods; and Native American tribes in America strove for healing and harmony with nature. While in the Western world, it is primarily about aromatizing rooms and changing the atmosphere, incense burning is used for other purposes in shamanism: There, the targeted burning of certain herbs is intended to induce a change in the state of consciousness and enable a connection to other worlds. In the Catholic Church, incense scents are still an integral part of religious rituals today.

It is entirely up to you what you use the incense for, whether it is to cleanse your personal environment of negative energies, for a deep ritual with beings from other planets, to heal your body, to enjoy the senses and to relax or just to work....it is entirely up to you what you use these effective herbs for, which had their foundations among the North American Indians, the "Native Americans", and the Indian culture.

Generally, smoking and steaming is done to achieve certain effects. Whether it's to recover from a depressive mood, to ground oneself with appropriate substances, or simply to feel good.
Burning incense is often a meditative act, a gift to oneself. The smoke and fragrance envelop the body and mind, allowing us to surrender.
Active ingredients from herbs, woods, resins and everything else that can be smoked usually find their way into the body through the skin and, less often than assumed, through the nose.
For example, gently steaming a plant's active ingredient can have an effect on the organism without creating a strong smell. "Less is more" can hold a lot of truth when it comes to steaming.
