Natural calcite geode from Rhodes, Greece – personally collected in the coastal region of Mount Attavyros.

Natural calcite with an exceptional peach-colored surface. The fine-crystalline, druse crystal structure gives the piece a rough, finely sparkling texture. The contrast with the solid, whitish back is particularly beautiful.

Calcite is closely associated with the mighty limestone formations of Rhodes. In the cavities and fissures of the limestone, dissolved calcium carbonate can redeposit over a long period of time, forming beautiful calcite crystals. Exactly such natural crystal cavities can be found in the limestone-rich formations of the region.
