Falkmanite – Historical collector's item from the Bayerland Mine

An interesting falkmanite crystal specimen from the famous Bayerland Mine near Waldsassen in Bavaria.

The mineral impresses with its intense silvery-metallic luster and its finely structured, radial crystal aggregates. The elongated, natural shape and the numerous reflective crystal faces give the piece a special appeal.

The Bayerland Mine is of great mineralogical significance: it was here that falkmanite was first discovered and scientifically described in 1940. It is therefore considered the type locality for this rare lead-antimony sulfosalt.
