WHAT MAKES FAIRFIELDITE SPECIAL?

Fairfieldite is a rarely occurring hydrous calcium manganese phosphate.

The mineral forms in granitic pegmatites, among other places, and can occur in small crystals as well as foliated or fine-grained aggregates.

The pegmatites of Hagendorf are known for their exceptional variety of phosphate minerals and are among the most interesting historical mineral sites in Germany.

Fairfieldite is particularly interesting for mineral collectors who specialize in rare mineral species and German localities.
