The Schörl is the only one of the tourmalines from whose power children, women and men can benefit to the same extent. It is rightly considered the strongest and best protective stone for the body and soul.

It helps you to differentiate yourself from the outside as well as to detach yourself from your own confusions. As a result, it creates clarity and relief for the hot mind.

Schörl is a wonderful companion in your professional life if you want to use your mental abilities in a focused, clear and efficient way. It promotes logical-rational thinking and frees you from unnecessary brooding and mental debauchery.
At the same time, this clarity and a small portion of pragmatism ensures inner sovereignty and increases one's own healthy, self-confident appearance.

Black tourmaline has been known as a mineral in Europe since ancient times. The name Schörl for the tourmaline in black appeared for the first time around 1500, while the name tourmaline was not mentioned for the first time until around 1636. Tourmaline black is therefore still known as Schörl today. Originally, the name Schörl meant "impure, useless ore", as it was mainly the tourmaline in black that permeated valuable ores.

Tourmaline black, also called Börl, is produced exclusively by volcanic activity. The main sites for tourmaline (black) are in Brazil, Madagascar and Afghanistan. Black tourmaline is quite often fused with various types of quartz, orthoclase, albite or various types of mica. The crystal formation of black tourmaline can be quite versatile. For example, black tourmaline has tufted crystals, radial formations, as well as confused crystal lawns or float stages. Dense masses - without any crystal formation - also occur in tourmaline (black).

The black tourmaline consists mainly of sodium, iron and aluminum, fluorine, hydrogen, oxygen and boron. The composition of the Schörl can vary depending on the place where it was found. Calcium, chromium, lithium, magnesium, manganese or titanium are occasionally present - all these elements give the black tourmaline, depending on where it was found, a kind of personal touch.
