"A genuine citrine of this size costs over 30€ and would not be yellow, and is also not cut as a tumbled stone. However, we do have genuine citrine points in our assortment for 29.99€
The citrines that are usually available in stores are heat-treated amethysts. Even if they are not pure citrines, their effectiveness is very interesting. Pure citrines differ from heat-treated amethysts, or altered citrines, primarily by their price. Citrine zones in amethysts occur in India, Brazil and Bolivia.
Origin of Citrine
Citrine belongs to the mineral class of quartz and is of magmatic origin. They form in pegmatite with a granitic composition. In nature, they are very rare in their pure form, which justifies the high price.
Amethysts and smoky quartz are used as a basis for altered citrines or heat-treated amethysts. These are heated to temperatures of 470 – 560 degrees Celsius, which changes their color. As a result, they appear yellowish."
When you start to delve into the world of crystals and gemstones, it can be a little overwhelming at first. What makes these small and large energy stones so special? Which one is right for me and what effect is it known for? And what do I do with it then? Don't worry, we felt the same way at the beginning. The first thing you need to know is: You can't really do anything wrong. Gemstones can be integrated into your everyday life very simply.
Gemstones are considered powerful companions, especially in a time when we spend most of our day looking at small screens. We quickly forget the world around us and feel disconnected – from nature, our fellow human beings, and ultimately ourselves.
Even if you quickly forget it with the dazzling colors and extraordinary cuts: gemstones come from nature. They are formed from magma deep within the earth or by high pressure on a rock and can transfer this energy to us. It often takes many millennia for a stone to penetrate to the earth's surface.
The stone you finally hold in your hands is therefore many years older and carries a lot of wisdom and power within it. Let this thought ground you, arrive in the moment and look not only to the future, but also to what has already been. Only then can we learn.
Whether you just wear your new companion and let it work on you ~ or use it for rituals & ceremonies, is now in your hands.
Citrine
The name Citrine originally comes from Latin – 'citrus' means lemon and refers to the yellow color of this very special gemstone, which is rare in nature. That's why most citrines available commercially are orange-yellow, heat-treated amethysts. Golden yellow, elegant and mood-lifting – learn everything about citrine now.
Citrine Zodiac Signs: Aries, Gemini, Libra, Virgo, Leo
Citrine Chakra: Spleen Chakra, Root Chakra
Citrine is the ideal healing stone to ward off stress or sorrow. It activates our spirits, has a mood-lifting effect and strengthens not only our self-confidence, but also our vitality. Mental clarity is increased by citrine. On a physical level, the sunstone is said to have a detoxifying effect, which is particularly beneficial for the liver, kidneys, stomach and intestines. Citrine is also particularly helpful for concentration problems. Because of its direct effect on the nervous system, it ensures that we can focus much better. Particularly sensitive people benefit from the subtle effect of citrine when they wear it as an amulet or necklace directly on the skin. And a particularly intensive effect is also attributed to the sunstone in connection with water. To do this, simply place it overnight in a carafe filled with water – and drink the refreshing, energetic drink in small sips the next morning.
Citrine works best on the solar plexus chakra. Astrologically, it is assigned to the zodiac signs Aquarius, Gemini, Leo and Virgo. The citrine should be cleaned at least once a month – or even better after each wearing – under running, lukewarm water.
