WHAT MAKES CHLORITE QUARTZ SPECIAL?
Chlorite quartz is a term for quartz crystals that contain inclusions of minerals from the chlorite group.
These can show green, gray, or almost black shades and form interesting structures inside the crystal.
Sometimes, such inclusions create so-called phantom structures, which make the earlier growth phases of a quartz crystal visible.
The exact composition of the dark inclusions in this specimen has not been analytically determined.
