When you start to look into the topic of crystals and gemstones, it can be a little overwhelming at first. What makes the small and large energy stones so special? Which one is right for me and what effect is it known for? And what do I do with it? Don't worry, we felt the same way in the beginning. The first thing you need to know: You can't really do anything wrong. Gemstones can be easily integrated into your everyday life.

Gemstones are considered powerful companions, especially at a time when we spend most of our day looking at small screens. We quickly forget the world around us and feel disconnected – from nature, our fellow human beings and ultimately ourselves.
Even if you quickly forget it with the dazzling colors and extraordinary cuts: gemstones come from nature. They are formed from magma in the earth's interior or by high pressure on a rock and can transfer this energy to us. It often takes many thousands of years for a stone to penetrate to the earth's surface.
So the stone you finally hold in your hands is many years older and carries a lot of wisdom and power. Let yourself be grounded by this thought, arrive in the moment and look not only into the future, but also to what has already been. This is the only way we can learn.
Whether you just wear your new companion and let it work on you ~ or use it for rituals and ceremonies is now in your hands.

Opals were already respected in ancient times as particularly valuable gemstones. They got a part of each stone from the gods after they had created the gemstones. Pliny the Elder therefore described opal as follows: "It has the delicate fire of carbuncle, the brilliant purple of amethyst, the magnificent sea-green of emerald, the golden yellow of topaz, the deep blue of sapphire, so that all the colors shine together in a wonderful mixture". According to Greek mythology, the tears of Zeus are imprisoned in the opal after the victory over the Titans. Even then, opals were considered healing stones, one of the strongest stones for the soul and for true love, since their mere contemplation alone does not fail to have an effect. Even in India, it has long been known as a good luck charm and the Romans mined it even then on the territory of today's Slovakia. The name of the opal probably comes from the ancient Indian Sanskrit, where it was called "upala" for "gemstone". In ancient Greece it was called "opallios", and in ancient Rome it was called "opalus". In addition to its lesser-known synonyms, it also has a variety of trade names. Opal also has an almost endless variety of varieties, which differ greatly from each other in terms of opalescent, i.e. the play of colors typical and unique for this stone. This is where the classification of opals from precious opals to common opals came about. The sites where opals are found are scattered all over the world, but Australia is one of the main suppliers with up to 95% of total mining. Unfortunately, the best stones usually do not reach the European market, because they are highly sought after in Asia and fetch higher prices there.
The word opal originally comes from Latin – "opalus" means something like 'precious stone', but there is also a derivation from Sanskrit, which, however, has not been scientifically proven. Opals have always been considered very valuable gemstones, some of which were even valued higher than diamonds. So it's no wonder that opals were already traded as very special stones in ancient and ancient India and were popular because of their positive effect on the human soul.

Effect Opal
The opal has the greatest effect on us when we look at it. Because their unique play of colors, which can show all the colors of nature, fascinates us and has a beneficial effect on our soul. Comparable can only be found in nature with the wings of butterflies and hummingbirds. This opalesion causes our feelings to be amplified. So, the opal can make the viewer very happy by bringing him in harmony with himself. In this way, it increases belief in oneself, as well as the will for self-realization, but also the associated acceptance, sense of community and communication skills. Because if you are satisfied with yourself, you also feel comfortable in company. This is also the reason why opal can help you find true love. Depression can also be alleviated by it. The viewer becomes more open, more accommodating, but also consolidated in his opinion-forming. But opals can also intensify negative feelings, which is why they are not used too often. should be considered for a long time. One can also lose oneself in the colors of this stone, which can lead to fatigue with life. You can also succumb to its beautiful shine, because it is not without reason that this gemstone is also considered the stone of thieves and spies. If negative feelings arise when looking at it, the stone should be set down immediately.

Charging, discharging, cleaning Opal
Should be discharged regularly under running, lukewarm water and then charged with a rock crystal for a few hours. Chains should be unloaded once a month overnight in a bowl with hematite tumbled stones and charged with a rock crystal. It should be kept overnight in a bowl of water once a week, because opals dry out quickly. This also means that they must never be placed in the sun, as it dries out the opals. The consequence would be a fading of the stones. Acids, soaps, make-up and perfume can also damage opals. In addition, the opals can be sprayed with water once a month. It should not be combined with any other stone in the application.
Application Opal
Mentally, it works by pure contemplation and physically by laying on the affected parts of the body. Especially in the heart area, as a necklace, as opal water or opal tea. Can be used for a longer period of time, but should be discontinued as soon as lack of concentration or absent-mindedness occurs. Important!: Gemstone water is not recommended if the composition of individual stones is unknown. Often, toxic materials can also be stored in the opals!
