The Andean opal, as its name suggests, originates from the Andes Mountains of Peru, has a hardness of 6 to 7, and belongs to the opal-quartz family. It occurs in pink, blue-green, brown, and white, with different colored stones being attributed different properties.

The Incas and Aztecs already considered the stone to have a special meaning: an eye of the gods, left behind when they left Earth. From the perspective of these ancient tribes, it was a stone of hope, a reminder in times of war that humans, animals, and nature belong together in harmony. Even today, this stone is considered a protective and healing stone in Peru and is traditionally worn as jewelry.

The pink Andean opal, in particular, is said to dispel depressive moods and anxieties. It also promotes true love, but it also increases the desire for eroticism and sexuality. It imparts spontaneity and joie de vivre, helping one cope with everyday life in a good mood and thus better.
