The Andean opal, as its name suggests, comes from the Andes of Peru, has a hardness of 6 to 7 and belongs to the family of opal quartz. It occurs in the colors pink, blue-green, brown and white, whereby the differently colored stones are also said to have different properties.

Even with the Incas and Aztecs, the stone had a special meaning: an eye of the gods, which was left behind by them when they left the earth. From the point of view of these ancient tribes, it was a stone of hope that reminded us in times of war that people, animals and nature belong together in harmony.
