Gemstones and crystals produce a variety of effects as healing stones, chakra stones, lucky stones, ritual stones or protective stones.
When you start to look into the topic of crystals and gemstones, it can be a little overwhelming at first. What makes the small and large energy stones so special? Which one is right for me and what effect is it known for? And what do I do with it? Don't worry, we felt the same way in the beginning. The first thing you need to know: You can't really do anything wrong. Gemstones can be easily integrated into your everyday life.
Gemstones are considered powerful companions, especially at a time when we spend most of our day looking at small screens. We quickly forget the world around us and feel disconnected – from nature, our fellow human beings and ultimately ourselves.
Even if you quickly forget it with the dazzling colors and extraordinary cuts: gemstones come from nature. They are formed from magma in the earth's interior or by high pressure on a rock and can transfer this energy to us. It often takes many thousands of years for a stone to penetrate to the earth's surface.
So the stone you finally hold in your hands is many years older and carries a lot of wisdom and power. Let yourself be grounded by this thought, arrive in the moment and look not only into the future, but also to what has already been. This is the only way we can learn.
Whether you just wear your new companion and let it work on you ~ or use it for rituals and ceremonies is now in your hands.

The Cancer receives an improved imagination as well as intuition and more tolerance. It gives Libra inner peace and brings balance and tolerance.
Even in the early Native American cultures of North America, chrysocolla is a stone for spring, the "time of returning frogs". It was used for many rituals and each shaman owned a chrysocolla gemstone.
The chrysocolla was already used as a healing stone in ancient times. Its name derives from the Greek words for gold (chrysos) and glue (kolla). This name has developed because chrysocolla was used by the goldsmiths of antiquity as a kind of glue. The green stone is considered the healing stone of hope and has been used in many countries. It is reported that the pharaohs in ancient Egypt also liked to carry a chrysocolla with them. Chrysocolla is mined in many regions of the world. Thus, there are deposits of chrysocolla in Latin America, but also in South Africa and Russia. However, the main mining area is the USA.
Even the ancient Egyptians revered chrysocolla as a "stone of wisdom" that helps to make wise decisions. Chrysocolla helps to stay calm even in dicey situations. It promotes a neutral and clear view. Through its harmonizing effect on the emotional life, it relieves and heals exaggerated emotions such as anger, irascibility, feelings of hatred, jealousy, resentment, sensitivity and constant dissatisfaction. "A stone is the condensed history of the universe"
~Art of Nature Berlin~Azurite – Origin and History
At the astrological level, he is assigned to the zodiac signs Capricorn and Virgo. The azurite should in any case be unloaded overnight once a month in a dry bowl with hematite drum stones. Charging is not necessary, as deep blue azurite are true bundles of energy. Only brighter azurites should be charged in the sun or in rock crystals.
The Azurit has been known for more than 4,500 years. Even then, the stone was coveted in different cultures around the world. In the past, the azurite was also called citramarine because it came "from this side of the sea".
The main suppliers of Azurite in antiquity were countries such as Andalusia, Armenia and Cyprus. In powder form, the mineral was already used by the Egyptians, Persians and Romans as a makeup for the eyes. During the Ming Dynasty, the ancient Chinese use the azurite to color their beautiful and legendary vases.
However, the azurite gained particular importance in painting in the Middle Ages of Europe as well as in the Renaissance - in monasteries the valuable blue pigment was used for small motifs and caligraphic manuscripts. Even the famous painter Michelangelo used Azurit in his Roman burial for the glowing, blue robe of Mary Magdalene.
The healing stone received the mineral name Azurite, which is still valid today, in 1824 from the French mineralogist François Beudant. This set a monument above all to the beautiful azure color of the mineral.
The azurite is also known under the names Armenite, mountain blue, blue malachite, chessylith, copper lapis, copper blue, copper glaze and lasurmalachite.
Azurite occurrence and origin
The azurite forms secondarily through deposits and weathering. Where azurite occurs, the rock is copper-bearing. Azurite is formed in the oxidation zone of so-called sulfidic copper deposits through the weathering of chalcopyrite and other copper sulfides or from general copper ores.
The azurite is very often a component of copper ore and also occurs in paragenesis with other minerals (e. g. B. Anglesite, brochantite, calcite, chrysocolla, dolomite, smithsonite).
As an anhydrous carbonate, azurite is more common than other gems. Oxygenated water in the form of seepage or groundwater is necessary for the formation, because azurite is only produced when a carbon dioxide molecule is released at the same time. Azurite is similar in composition to malachite, which is why the pseudomorphosis of malachite after azurite can be observed again and again.
Azurite is very common and can be found at very many sites. According to the status from 2014, around 5,000 sites are known. In ancient times, Andalusia, Armenia and Cyprus were the main mining areas for the azurite. Until the middle of the 17th In the 20th century, Hungary was the most important mining region in Europe. Chessy near Lyon (France), Mechernich (German Vulkaneifel) and the pits near Alghero (Sardinia) were in place until the end of the 19th Century as a supplier for Azurit.
In addition to its historical location Mechernich, where the azurite was precipitated by sedimentation in the red sandstones, the mineral can also be found in Germany in the Black Forest, in the Thuringian-Franconian low mountain range, in the Spessart, in the Harz Mountains, in the Ore Mountains and in the Odenwald.
Tsumeb in Namibia is also a well-known location due to its extraordinary azurite finds with crystals up to 20 centimeters in length. Crystals up to 7 centimeters long have been found in Morocco (Touissit). In the Chinese province of Guangdong there are also crystal rosettes with diameters of up to 13 centimeters.
Other occurrences of the azurite can also be found in Austria, Switzerland, Afghanistan, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Bulgaria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Zaire), Iran, Greece, Japan, Ireland, Kazakhstan, In Canada, in Madagascar, in Mexico, in Mongolia, in Norway, in Peru, in the Philippines, in Poland, in Portugal, in Russia, in Sweden, in Serbia, in Zimbabwe, in South Africa, in Slovakia, in the Czech Republic, in Turkey, In Hungary, as well as in the USA and the United Kingdom (UK).
The mining of azurite does not make sense or make economic importance at every site. The quality and size of the occurrence as well as the location of the sites and the prevailing environmental conditions are decisive for the mining.
Properties and effects of the azurite
The azurite is assigned to the monoclinic crystal system, is transparent to opaque and can be completely cleaved. The healing stone is found in several colors of shades of blue, which can vary from light to deep dark blue (azure) to night blue to almost black. The shine of the azurit is reminiscent of the appearance of glass.
