Gemstones & crystals have a variety of effects as healing stones, chakra stones, lucky stones, ritual stones or protective stones.
The name purpurite is derived from the Latin "purpureus" and means purple. It was named after its color in 1905 by the mineralogists Graton and Schaller. Purpurite is very expensive because of its rarity and is rarely used as a gemstone due to its low hardness.
Purpurite is one of the most important healing stones of all. You can find an overview and description of the most important gemstones in the article "Top Healing Stones". Our comprehensive gemstone lexicon contains over 400 healing stones with pictures that can be searched by color, origin, effect, meaning, zodiac sign, etc.

When you start to look into the topic of crystals and gemstones, it can be a little overwhelming at first. What makes the small and large energy stones so special? Which one is right for me and what effect is it known for? And what do I do with it? Don't worry, we felt the same way at the beginning. The first thing you need to know: you can't really go wrong. Gemstones can be easily integrated into your everyday life.
Gemstones are considered to be powerful companions, especially in a time when we spend most of our day looking at small screens. We quickly forget the world around us and feel disconnected - from nature, our fellow human beings and ultimately ourselves.
Even if you quickly forget it because of the dazzling colors and unusual cuts: gemstones come from nature. They are formed from magma in the earth's interior or through high pressure on a rock and can transfer this energy to us. It often takes many thousands of years for a stone to penetrate to the earth's surface.
The stone that you are finally holding in your hands is many years older and carries a lot of wisdom and power within it. Let this thought ground you, arrive in the moment and look not only into the future, but also at what has already happened. This is the only way we can learn.
Whether you just wear your new companion and let it work its magic on you ~ or use it for rituals and ceremonies is now in your hands.
We at Art of Nature Berlin wish you lots of joy with this natural treasure :)
