Green Ocelot Jasper is found in the Purbalingga region (Central Java). This is an alluvial deposit, meaning the raw stones are transported from their place of origin by rivers and finally deposited.


Similar to the heliotrope, the green color is caused by iron silicate. The bright areas in the green jasper were created by the inclusion of volcanic ash.

Where it was found, Ocelot Jasper is also known as Green Tiger Jasper. The term “moss agate” is also incorrectly used in stores for ocelot jasper.

Green Jasper is important in crystal healing for strengthening control over thoughts and actions. This calms you down and makes it easier to acknowledge your feelings and live them out. Balance and self-protection are other themes of green jasper.
