Gemstone necklace with a black tourmaline (schorl) ~ incl. 925 sterling silver eyelet + 304 stainless steel chain

Very nice quality of the tourmaline

Schorl is the only tourmaline whose power can benefit children, women, and men equally. It is rightly considered the most powerful and best protective stone for body and soul.

It helps you both distance yourself from the outside world and free yourself from your own confusion. This creates clarity and relief for your overheated mind.

Schorl is a wonderful companion in your professional life if you want to use your mental abilities in a focused, clear, and efficient way. It promotes logical and rational thinking and frees you from unnecessary brooding and mental distractions.
At the same time, this clarity and a small portion of pragmatism ensure inner sovereignty and increase one's own healthy, self-confident demeanor.

Black tourmaline has been known as a mineral in Europe since ancient times. The name schorl for black tourmaline first appeared around 1500, while the name tourmaline itself was first recorded around 1636. Black tourmaline is therefore still known as schorl today. Originally, the name schorl meant "impure, useless ore," as black tourmaline, in particular, was found in valuable ores.

Black tourmaline, also called schorl, is formed exclusively by volcanic activity. The main deposits for black tourmaline are in Brazil, Madagascar, and Afghanistan. Black tourmaline is often intergrown with various types of quartz, orthoclase, albite, or various types of mica. The crystal formation of black tourmaline can be quite diverse. For example, black tourmaline can occur in clustered crystals, radially radiating crystal formations, as well as randomly arranged crystal rows or floating steps. Dense masses without any crystal formation at all are also found in black tourmaline.

Black tourmaline consists primarily of sodium, iron, aluminum, fluorine, hydrogen, oxygen, and boron. The composition of schorl can vary depending on where it is found. Calcium, chromium, lithium, magnesium, manganese, or titanium are occasionally present – all of these elements give black tourmaline a personal touch, depending on where it is found.
