In between are countless smaller crystals and further crystal generations, creating a very varied and three-dimensional surface.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eMany of the larger calcites show clearly defined growth structures, fine parallel lines, and partially stepped crystal faces. Depending on the incidence of light, the crystals shift between milky white, slightly translucent, and a subtle bluish-gray hue.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAlso of particular interest are the natural brown to ocher-colored mineral coatings and inclusions between and on individual crystals.
